Ingredients
120 ml (1/2 cup) apple cider or apple juice
120 ml (1/2 cup) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
120 ml (1/2 cup) strong chai tea (brewed from 1–2 tea bags or 1 tbsp loose-leaf)
15 ml (1 tbsp) maple syrup or honey
60 ml (1/4 cup) whipped cream (optional, for topping)
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon or apple pie spice (for topping)
Instructions
1. Brew chai tea by steeping the tea bags or loose-leaf chai in hot water for about 5 minutes.
2. While tea steeps, heat the apple cider in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
3. Warm the milk in a separate saucepan or in the microwave until hot. Froth with a whisk or frother if desired.
4. Combine the brewed chai tea and hot apple cider in a mug. Stir in the maple syrup or honey to sweeten.
5. Pour the steamed, frothed milk into the mug and stir gently.
6. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with ground cinnamon or apple pie spice. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use almond, oat, or soy milk and coconut whipped cream.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, increase the maple syrup or honey to taste.
To make this drink iced, chill all components and pour over ice before topping with whipped cream.
