Description

These Best Classic Deviled Eggs are a quick appetizer, easy party snack, and holiday favorite that always disappears fast. With creamy yolk filling, simple pantry ingredients, and a bright tangy flavor, they are one of my favorite easy recipe ideas for brunch, potlucks, holiday gatherings, and make-ahead food ideas when I need something classic and reliable.

Ingredients

6 large eggs

3 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 teaspoon yellow mustard

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Paprika, for garnish

1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

Instructions

1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring to a gentle boil, cover, turn off the heat, and let the eggs sit for 10 to 12 minutes.

2. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath and let them cool completely before peeling.

3. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks to a mixing bowl.

4. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.

5. Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg white halves.

6. Sprinkle with paprika and chopped chives.

7. Chill until ready to serve.

Notes

Do not overmix in extra mayonnaise, or the filling can turn too soft and lose that classic piped shape.
