Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry
6 slices deli ham
6 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
1 large egg
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon fresh chives finely chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out 1 sheet puff pastry and cut into 12 equal squares.
2. Cut 6 slices ham in half to make 12 portions. Cut 6 slices cheese in half to make 12 portions.
3. Place 1 half slice ham and 1 half slice cheese in the center of each square.
4. Fold pastry over filling and seal edges with a fork.
5. Beat 1 large egg and brush evenly over all 12 pastries.
6. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sesame seeds evenly over the tops.
7. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon chopped chives evenly over the pastries.
8. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Serve warm.
Notes
