Description
These Crockpot Honey Garlic Meatballs are a quick dinner, easy appetizer, and one of my favorite easy recipe ideas for busy days. Tender meatballs cook low and slow in a glossy honey garlic sauce with the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and garlicky flavor, making them perfect for dinner ideas, party food ideas, and simple family meals.
Ingredients
1 bag frozen fully cooked meatballs, 32 ounces
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/3 cup ketchup
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Add the frozen meatballs to the crockpot.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, and rice vinegar.
3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and gently stir to coat.
4. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours.
5. In a small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
6. Add the slurry to the crockpot during the last 20 to 30 minutes of cooking and stir gently.
7. Once the sauce has thickened, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
8. Serve warm over rice, noodles, or as an appetizer.
Notes
Do not add too much extra liquid to the crockpot, or the sauce can turn thin instead of thick and glossy.
