Description

Craving something sweet, chewy, and chocolatey? This Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe delivers bakery-style indulgence right from your own kitchen. It’s a quick dessert idea perfect for birthdays, movie nights, or when you need a show-stopping treat. With crisp edges, a gooey center, and loads of melty chocolate chips, this cookie is everything you love about the classic—but bigger and better. Ideal for sharing and sure to impress, it’s one of those easy recipes you’ll return to again and again.

Ingredients

0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened

0.5 cup light brown sugar, packed

0.25 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1.25 cups all-purpose flour

0.5 teaspoon baking soda

0.25 teaspoon salt

0.75 cup semisweet chocolate chips

0.25 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).

2. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.

4. Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few to press on top.

5. Press the dough into a greased or parchment-lined 9-inch round baking pan or cast iron skillet.

6. Smooth the top and add reserved chocolate chips.

7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–24 minutes until golden at the edges and just set in the center.

8. Cool in pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing into 8 wedges. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

This recipe is best served slightly warm for maximum gooeyness.

Pressing extra chocolate chips on top before baking makes it look bakery-style.

If using salted butter, reduce the added salt to a pinch.
