Ingredients
2 large russet potatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Peel or scrub the russet potatoes, then cut into even matchsticks.
2. Soak the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Drain and dry the potatoes thoroughly using a clean kitchen towel.
4. Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and paprika until well coated.
5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
6. Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed).
7. Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until fries are golden and crisp.
8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra crispy fries, be sure to dry the potatoes very well after soaking and avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
Try different seasonings like smoked paprika, parmesan, or chili powder for a flavor twist.
Fries are best eaten fresh, but can be reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
