These Halloween Eyeball Jello Shots are a spooky, easy recipe that brings big party fun with very little effort. Perfect for a Halloween dessert table, creepy food ideas, fun party drinks, and festive entertaining, they are a make-ahead treat with bright red gelatin and eerie edible eyeballs that always get attention.
Ingredients
3 oz cherry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup vodka
12 lychees or peeled grapes
12 blueberries
1 tube red decorating gel
Instructions
1. Whisk the cherry gelatin with the boiling water until fully dissolved.
2. Stir in the cold water and vodka until combined.
3. Pour the mixture evenly into 12 small plastic shot cups.
4. Refrigerate for 45 to 60 minutes, until slightly thickened but not fully set.
5. Insert 1 blueberry into each lychee or peeled grape to make the eyeballs.
6. Use red decorating gel to draw thin vein lines on each eyeball.
7. Place 1 prepared eyeball on top of each jello cup and press gently so it stays in place.
8. Chill for 2 to 3 more hours, until fully set.
9. Serve cold straight from the refrigerator.
Notes
Do not add more alcohol than the recipe calls for, or the gelatin may not set properly.
