Hawaiian Roll Sliders

  • Author: Rosa Martinez

Description

These Hawaiian Roll Sliders are the kind of easy recipe I turn to when I need a quick dinner, easy lunch, party snack, or fun food idea everyone gets excited about. Soft sweet rolls layered with savory ham, melty Swiss cheese, and a buttery seasoned topping bake into warm, golden sliders that are perfect for quick breakfast-for-dinner nights, easy dinner spreads, game day bites, and simple family meals.

Ingredients

12 Hawaiian rolls

12 slices deli ham

6 slices Swiss cheese

4 tablespoons butter, melted

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon poppy seeds

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected. Place the bottom half in the baking dish.

3. Layer the deli ham evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.

4. Add the Swiss cheese evenly over the ham.

5. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.

6. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and onion powder.

7. Brush or pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls.

8. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

9. Remove the foil and bake for 5 to 8 minutes more, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.

10. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Do not overbake the sliders after removing the foil, or the rolls can dry out instead of staying soft and fluffy inside.
