Ingredients

1 box brownie mix or homemade batter for a 9-inch pan

24 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup hot fudge sauce (plus more for serving)

whipped cream, for topping

maraschino cherries, for garnish

chocolate shavings or sprinkles, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper and grease the sides.

2. Prepare brownie batter according to package or recipe instructions. Spread evenly in the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until just set but not fully baked through. Let cool slightly.

3. In a large bowl, beat 24 oz cream cheese and 1 cup granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract and heavy cream until just combined.

4. Drizzle 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce over the brownie base (warm it if needed to spread). Pour cheesecake batter on top, smoothing the surface. Drizzle remaining 1/2 cup hot fudge over the batter and swirl gently with a knife.

5. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 50-60 minutes, until edges are set but center jiggles slightly. Turn off oven, crack door, and cool cheesecake for 1 hour.

6. Remove from oven, run a knife around the edge, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

7. Before serving, remove cheesecake from pan. Top with whipped cream, extra hot fudge, maraschino cherries, and chocolate shavings or sprinkles. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

For easy slicing, dip your knife in hot water and wipe clean between cuts.

This cheesecake can be made a day in advance—the flavor improves after chilling overnight.

Leftovers can be frozen by wrapping slices well and thawing overnight in the refrigerator.
