Description

Juicy Smash Burger Tacos are one of my favorite quick dinner ideas when I want something fun, crispy, and packed with flavor. This easy recipe combines seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, pickles, and a creamy burger sauce inside toasted flour tortillas for a fast family meal. They are perfect for busy weeknights, easy dinner plans, casual lunches, and satisfying food ideas when you want a cheeseburger twist without making traditional patties.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

8 small flour tortillas

8 slices cheddar cheese

2 cups shredded lettuce

16 pickle slices

1/4 cup finely diced onion

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon mustard

1 tablespoon pickle juice

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, and a pinch of the garlic powder to make the burger sauce.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the salt, black pepper, and remaining garlic powder.

3. Divide the beef into 8 equal portions and press each portion in a thin layer onto one side of each flour tortilla.

4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and place the tortillas beef-side down into the pan.

5. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 2 to 3 minutes.

6. Flip each taco and top the beef side with a slice of cheddar cheese.

7. Cook for 1 more minute until the tortilla is lightly toasted and the cheese is melted.

8. Remove from the skillet and top with shredded lettuce, pickle slices, diced onion, and burger sauce.

9. Fold and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not spread the beef too thick on the tortillas, or the meat may not cook evenly before the tortilla gets too dark.
