Ingredients
4 regular-sized Butterfinger candy bars, finely crushed
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
12 soft caramels
1 1/2 cups milk or semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons extra crushed Butterfinger (optional, for topping)
Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
2. Add the powdered sugar and blend until creamy.
3. Fold in the finely crushed Butterfinger bars until evenly distributed.
4. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the Butterfinger mixture and flatten slightly in your palm.
5. Place a soft caramel in the center and wrap the mixture around it, rolling into a ball.
6. Repeat until you have 12 truffles, one for each caramel.
7. Place the formed balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
8. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
9. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, using a fork to coat and tapping off excess. Return truffles to the baking sheet.
10. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle extra crushed Butterfinger bits over the top.
11. Chill again for about 15 minutes until the chocolate is set.
12. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
Notes
For perfect truffles, always chill the filling before dipping in chocolate.
You can swap Butterfinger bars for Crunch, Heath, or other crispy chocolate candies.
Make ahead and freeze—just thaw for 15 minutes before serving for best texture.
