Description

Bring some cozy comfort to your kitchen with this easy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread. With rich pumpkin, warm spices, and gooey chocolate chips, this quick bread is perfect for breakfast ideas, healthy snacks, or even an easy dessert. It’s a must-bake for fall or anytime you crave a moist, flavorful, and foolproof loaf. Family-friendly, beginner-friendly, and a top choice for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

1 cup pumpkin purée

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

3/4 cup chocolate chips (plus extra for topping, if desired)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or grease it well.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin purée, vegetable oil, eggs, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

3. Sift in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice. Gently fold until just combined.

4. Add the chocolate chips, reserving a handful for topping, and fold them in gently.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle reserved chocolate chips over the top.

6. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (melted chocolate is okay; just no raw batter).

7. Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For the best texture, don’t overmix the batter after adding the dry ingredients.

Use mini chocolate chips if you want a little chocolate in every bite.

Store leftovers tightly wrapped at room temperature for 3 days, or freeze slices for up to 2 months.
