Ingredients
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky, natural preferred)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice (freshly squeezed)
1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon fresh ginger (optional, grated)
2–4 tablespoons warm water (to thin the sauce as needed)
1–2 teaspoons sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional, to taste)
Instructions
1. Gather and measure all ingredients.
2. In a medium bowl, add peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, and maple syrup or honey.
3. Add minced garlic and optional ginger, then stir to combine.
4. Mix in sriracha or chili garlic sauce if you want heat.
5. Gradually whisk in warm water, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency (thick for dipping, thinner for drizzling).
6. Taste and adjust: add more lime for tang, soy sauce for salt, or sweetener as needed.
7. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Stir before using and thin with a little water if it thickens.
Notes
Always start with less water and add more for your preferred thickness.
For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter instead of peanut butter.
Store leftover sauce in a sealed jar in the fridge; it may thicken, so just stir in a splash of warm water to loosen.
